A medical laboratory technician performs routine clinical laboratory testing procedures to provide scientific information needed in the diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment 疾病的. Technicians use sophisticated instrumentation for these evaluations which encompass quantitative and qualitative chemical and biological analyses of body fluid 标本. Technicians function under the supervision of a qualified practitioner.

Our program prepares students for a career in Medical Laboratory 技术 through the studies in humanities, social and natural sciences, and the field of Medical Laboratory 技术. Emphasis is placed on the clinical practice in the context of laboratory 医学. Graduates are eligible to take a nationally recognized certification examination.

- Associate of Science Degree in Medical Laboratory Technician (Students generally take 18 months to complete, not including prerequisites/general education courses.)
Upon completion of the Associate of Science MLT program, students are eligible to sit for the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) exam as well as the California state licensing exam.
