Poems :  Falsehood
Tags: poems   a.j. cardiais   Falsehood

What do I do,
in this false world?
Falsehood strolls
by forced smiles,
between whitish teeth,
but without any brightness.

Moved by the vanities
the society exposes itself
to the empty compliments
of feeling and of sincerity.

Everything is an exchange:
I exalt the your shit,
you praise the my shit.

And those who do not sit "on the throne,"
the children of abandonment,
the poor are to think:
This is the life I wanted.
