Its Fall, your leaves grow thin
I can see right through them
To your trunk and limbs

Let me take your faded hands
Their rough and weathered skin
Let me hold them tight in mine
Until in time it comes our time
To know the shadow land

Your leaves are gone
I can see your bones
As if you have nothing on

I'll wrap my arms around you
Though stiff and stark you stand
So cold the garments near your skin
So quickly since the day you came
Come the day you've gone

The dark months pass
Your leaves turn green
I see them blowing in the wind
