Poems -> Sad :  Empty Cradles
Tags: empty   cradles

sometimes the mind
is a room
crammed with
empty cradles
being constantly rammed
by other people's
prams
pushchairs
buggies
assumptions
and innocent
insensitive
mean-no-harm
remarks

sometimes the mind
is a place
where shattered dreams
linger
becoming buried
underneath layers of
dust and cobwebs
and despair
